Providing custom traditional slipjoint pocket knives, handmade one of a kind. I use the best steel and material to make the best knives I can. I've made over 1600 slip joint knives. All the knives are made from scratch, to remake a knife I just look at a photo. I do not have any patterns. I do all my grinds free hand, no jigs or arm rest. I do all my own heat treating. All the knives with liners are stamped inside with a serial number and my name is stamped into the tang. Right now I'm not using any Stag, Ivory or Pearl. There are some knives I've made that I will not make any more. I've shipped my knives all over the world. I have shipped them to Belgium, Ireland, Sweden, Thailand, Malaysia, Germany, Canada, the UK and Hong Kong China and from coast to coast here in the USA. Thanks to all my fans and collectors for their support.
If you would like to get one, you can sign up on my notification list and I'll send you an email when I list a new knife for sale. If you are the first to email me back and say "I'll take it", and with a confirmation reply from me you get the knife. I also do take custom orders. Full payment up front, knife will be made and shipped 90 - 120 days from payment received. I have not missed a dead line ever. All knives are insured when shipped. I only use the US Postal Service for shipping. Thanks for looking at my site, have a great day.
If you do decide to order a knife from me, you can get your T. A. Davison custom slip joint made the way you want. What size, handle material, blade shape. You will have other choices such as what shield you want and if you want a coined edge, fluted or pinched bolsters. You can order the knife with end caps or just single bolsters. You can get a satin hand finish on the blade or a belt finish on the blade. There are a lot of handle materials to choose from, all kinds of stabilized wood, like Box Elder Burl, Iron Wood, Black Wood and Black Ash Burl. The wood being stabilized now days is some of the best, it comes in many different colors. I book match all the knives so the burl will match. There are also many colors of G 10, micarta and carbon fiber to choose from. I have used Jig Bone on a lot of knives and it makes a very nice pocket knife. I do not use any bushings in my knives now, I did make some knives in the 300 - 400 range, so over a thousand knives now I have not used any. All my knives are hand filed inside on the back spring. All the slip joints are made with half stops. I use CPM 154 for the blade steel, and I use stainless on the bolsters & liners. Like I said, I do all my own heat treat, the Rockwell hardness is 60 - 61 on the blade. Price for the knife will vary on what it is you want made. The price starts at $600 and goes up from there.
For payment - paypal is preferred. I pay all paypal fees, shipping and insurance. Shipping out side USA is extra.
